Chris Harms is a musician, songwriter, and producer who is best known as the lead singer of the German rock band Lord of the Lost. He was born in 1983 in Hamburg, Germany, and grew up in a family that valued music and creativity. Harms began playing music at a young age and was soon drawn to the darker, more melancholic sounds of goth and industrial music.
In 2007, Harms formed Lord of the Lost, which quickly gained a devoted following in Germany and beyond. The band's sound combines elements of gothic rock, industrial, and metal, with Harms' powerful vocals at the forefront. Lord of the Lost has released numerous albums over the years, including "Swan Songs" and "Thornstar," which received critical acclaim and cemented the band's status as one of the most important acts in the German rock scene. Harms is also involved in several side projects and collaborations. He formed the electronic duo BIG & HAIRY with his long-time friend Fabs, and together they have released two albums of dancefloor-oriented electro-pop. Harms is also a member of the acoustic project Chris Harms & Friends, which allows him to showcase his songwriting skills in a more stripped-down, intimate setting. In addition to his music career, Harms is also a skilled visual artist and designer. He creates many of the band's visuals and album artwork, as well as his own personal fashion style. Harms is known for his unique and flamboyant stage costumes, which often include elaborate makeup and accessories. Despite his success, Harms remains grounded and committed to his art. He has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health issues and addiction, and uses his platform to advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization. He has also been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and other social justice causes. In conclusion, Chris Harms is a multifaceted artist who has made a significant impact on the German rock scene and beyond. His powerful vocals, songwriting skills, and visual artistry have made him a beloved and influential figure in the goth and industrial communities. Harms' willingness to share his struggles and use his platform to promote important causes has also endeared him to many fans. As Lord of the Lost continues to evolve and explore new sounds, it's clear that Harms' talent and creativity will remain at the forefront of the band's vision. 3. Review "Depeche Mode - Ghosts Again"
Finally again new music from Depeche Mode, with their new single "Ghosts Again", they appeal to use the lifetime wisely.
With everyone there are situations, events, in which you have to pause for a moment. To collect oneself, in order to start again anew. Depeche Mode also had to regroup and cope with the loss of their founding member Andy Fletcher. The death and grief have moved Dave Gahan to write and release the current single. The upcoming studio album of Depeche Mode will be "Memento Mori" and already released in March. |
