Hey everyone,
I'm so excited to announce the release of my brand new single, "Blinding Light,s" coming out on July 19th! This time, it's a completely original song, drawn straight from the depths of my own emotions and experiences. It's a story about two souls finding themselves caught in a powerful connection, a feeling so intense it drowns out the world around them. The song explores the "all or nothing" feeling of passionate love, where every moment feels precious and fleeting. It asks the questions: Are we willing to risk it all? Can we reach for something bigger, even if it means getting burned? "Blinding Lights" is a powerful anthem about seizing the moment, chasing dreams together, and finding strength in each other's love. It's a song that will ignite your heart and make you want to dance under the stars. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks! See you soon!

4. REVIEW - "Saltatio Mortis - Finsterwacht"
German folk metallers Saltatio Mortis have done it again, landing their fifth consecutive No. 1 album on the German charts with their latest release, "Finsterwacht". But what does the new album have to offer?
Uncharacteristically for SaMo, they took their time between releases this time around. Their last album, "Für immer frei", was released four years ago, and in the meantime, the band's fans could only look forward to the occasional single - or could they? Opinions were always sharply divided here, both about the musical style and the choice of feature partner. At the top of the criticism list for many was the schlager singer "Mia Julia". So what now? Is Saltatio Mortis trying to conquer the schlager scene? I can't answer that question for you. The fact is that "Finsterwelt" has turned out to be a very genre-defying album. And that's where one of my criticisms comes in: I miss a musical red thread here. There are songs on the album that could just as easily have been released by "Versengold", and only one track later, rock/metal numbers come in the old SaMo style. On the positive side, I have to highlight the lyrics! I was rather sceptical before, as the last album featured "Lasterbalk der Lästerliche", the man who was mainly responsible for the lyrics in the band. But together with their partner "Das schwarze Auge", they have created a lyrical masterpiece, a new colourful fantasy world and actually put the lyrics of the last albums in the shade. Conclusion: I would love to delete every other song on the album, but I'm also one of those who prefer Saltatio Mortis harder. But tastes differ and the renewed No. 1 success speaks for itself. |
